About the Coaching Process
Coaching
Coaching is a good fit if you already have a sense of what you want to change, even if you're not sure how to get there, or if life has reached a point where staying still no longer feels possible. You don't need a five-year plan to start. We begin with what's true for you right now.
What sessions are like
Sessions are structured around what's live for you, a decision, a transition, a pattern you keep circling back to. Some weeks you'll bring something specific: a conversation you're dreading, a choice you're avoiding, a goal that feels just out of reach. Other weeks, we'll spend time getting clear on what you actually want, before working out how to get there. Together, we pay attention to:
The gap between what you say you want and what you're actually doing
Beliefs or assumptions that might be quietly limiting your options
What's realistically within your control, and what isn't
The next concrete step, however small
How change happens
Coaching works by building clarity and momentum in equal measure, honest reflection paired with a plan you'll actually follow through on. As the work progresses, you may notice greater clarity about what you actually want (rather than what you think you should want), more confidence making decisions, and follow-through on things you'd previously only thought about.
Your role, and how long it takes
Your role is to bring what's live for you and stay willing to test new ways of thinking and acting between sessions. Mine is to ask good questions, offer an outside perspective, and hold you accountable to what matters to you. Coaching tends to work well over a defined period, often 6 to 12 sessions, though some people return for ongoing support at key decision points.
Coaching isn't about becoming a more efficient version of yourself. It's about getting honest about what you actually want, and building the confidence to move towards it, at a sustainable pace.
